This is a 4 session series starting:

Tuesday March 5th, 2019 / 6:30 - 8 PM

Meeting dates: March 5th / 12th / 19th / 26th

This course is for anyone that wants to become comfortable with the foundations of yoga postures, breathing and meditation techniques. You will learn safe and proper alignment in yoga poses, practice the transitions in common yoga "flows,"as well as gain background knowledge on the history and philosophical components of yoga. 

Kirsten Higgins, Infinity owner and C-IAYT, brings 13 years of yoga teaching experience and a strong background in anatomy/ Kinesiology to make sure that yogis at all stages will be in good hands. Beginners and "seasoned beginners" will gain confidence in the foundations of yoga, while intermediate practitioners will have the opportunity to refine and polish their practice.

Kirsten received her 800-hour certification from Integrative Yoga Therapy, holds a master’s degree in Special Education, and is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and Certified Personal Trainer. As a Certified Yoga Therapist, and Trauma- Informed Yoga Teacher, she has specialized in working with individuals healing from an injury or practicing with a chronic condition, individuals struggling with anxiety or depression, couples, children with autism, and expectant mothers. She has studied various styles of yoga: Anusara, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Restorative, Tantra and Yin.  

Kirsten founded Infinity Holistic Wellness & Yoga to be an oasis for practicing yoga, meditation & other healing modalities in the Chicago Loop. The group of talented and experienced instructors on the Infinity team represent a range of specialties, personalities & passion.  Each instructor brings their own personal touch to their teaching; however, the common threads that tie them together are their skills all lay on the spectrum of yoga therapeutics, & that they have an ability to make yoga accessible to all beings.
