5:30 - 8:30 PM

Owner of Infinity Holistic Wellness & Yoga, Kirsten Higgins, and Sound Goddess, Liz Mandeville team up to present an evening of bliss for your body and mind.

Yoga, intention setting, meditation, and crystal singing bowl concert followed by cakes, wine and fellowship…

The winter solstice is a day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year. It is often viewed in ancient cultures as a time to honor death and rebirth.

The winter solstice opens the door to three months of rest for the earth before the blooming of spring. Just like the Earth, humans need a time to rest, dream and draw the plans for their coming year. Join us at Infinity for a 2-part evening of restorative movement, intention setting, and inner journeying on the wings of sound. You can attend either part or the entire evening for a complete inward experience to support you in listening to your heart's desires for the year ahead.

Followed by wine and treats to celebrate the darkest of days being over, and welcome in each day ahead being brighter than the last!

Part 1: Yoga & Intention Setting (5:30p - 7p)

For the first part of the evening, we’ll start off with a 90 minute candle-lit vinyasa yoga flow that will help you release stagnant energy, warm your body & energize your mind. Then we’ll move into a restorative yoga practice will that facilitate peace, calm and quiet to allow for introspection & reflection of the past year, culminating with a guided meditation practice to create a vision for what you want to manifest in the year ahead.

Using yoga asana (postures/ movement), breathwork and meditation, this part of the evening will guide you through a process of reflection and celebration of the past year of life.

There will be an opportunity for you to write down reflections and intentions as you go through this process internally. Feel free to bring a journal or special notebook.

You are invited and encouraged to stay for the sound healing potion following this portion for a complete winter solstice experience.

Part 1 Format: Yoga Asana, Meditation, Pranayama (breathwork), Journaling

There will be a 30 minute break between each part of the winter solstice celebration. The lights will remain low and an environment will remain calm during the transition from the yoga portion to the sound healing journey.

Part 2: Sound Healing Experience (7:30p - 8:30p)

Liz Mandeville, a Certified Sound Healer and award-winning, Hall of Fame musician, has dedicated the last 3 years to creating a safe yet effective Healing Sound Environment to help people journey to their internal mindscape. As you relax on your yoga mat, Liz will take you on a guided meditation to plant the seeds of your personal intention for 2019, and follow that with a relaxing bath of pure sound intended to balance your chakras, restore your inner balance and send your mind on a journey to inner space.

While you lie down  in a comfortable position on the floor with an optional eye mask,  Liz will use crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, shamanic drumming, and other various instruments to guide you on your sound journey. Sound baths are designed to facilitate a shift in your brain wave state, so that a deep state of meditation and internal healing can occur.

This is perfect for beginning meditators that have not yet learned how to facilitate a shift in brain wave state on their own. More experienced meditators will find their ability to reach a theta state (deep meditation) or even a delta state (where internal healing can occur). Each of the 7 crystal bowls coincides with each note on the scale as well as each of the 7 chakras. Relax deeply and bring balance to your mind, body & soul.

This is what our participants have said about the singing bowl meditations:

"Each time I do this it gets better!"

“It was like I was weightless."

"I saw bright colors, it was beautiful. I feel like I just had a massage!"

"It was like when you dream you're flying!"

Following the sound healing, stay for wine & treats--celebrate! Each day to come will bring us more sunshine, and more energy to manifest our visions.

Part 2 Format: Meditation, Sound Bath Meditation (lying down)

Sound Healer & Musician

Liz Mandeville is a lifelong musician, a graduate of Columbia College, with over 30 years of experience in creating healing ambiance, weaving rhythm and melody to create emotional catharsis. Liz has traveled the world writing, recording and performing professionally. She is a respected member of the Chicago Blues Community and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013. She is a Grammy nominee, an award winning songwriter and beloved artist popular on three continents. She’s also a practicing yogi and sound healer.

Although exploring the mystic properties of sound has always been central to Liz’s life, a trip to The Integratron for their magnetic resonance crystal sound healing bath led Liz down the path toward practicing the Yoga of Sound Healing. The amazing results of that experience, three days of blissfulness, opened Liz’s mind to the possibility of using sound to recreate balance and bliss in listeners.

She has since studied with John Beaulieu, the father of Tuning Fork therapy, and learned his techniques for healing. Liz has also studied with Silvia Nakkach, author of Free Your Voice and Head Mistress of the Vox Mundi schools. Using Silvia’s technique of chanting, toning and medicine melody combined with Dr. Beaulieu’s use of tools helped Liz craft her own style.
