All Yoga Packages and Memberships will be honored at both indoor (53 W. Jackson Blvd, STE 362, Chicago) and outdoor locations

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW?

Students must pre-register online for every class

BYOM (Bring Your Own Mat)!

What else to bring: The classes are held on the bricks in front of the fountain, so if you want extra cushion for joints, bring a towel, blanket, or a thicker mat. Bring a water bottle. There will be a mix of sun and shade.

Plan to arrival 3-5 minutes before class time.

Arriving late? If you are pre-registered, no problem. Walk up and join the class whenever you arrive.

Expect some distractions. After all, we are in an urban environment, in a city square. Embrace it. It is a good opportunity to practice pratyahara--withdrawal of the senses ;-) Life is full of distractions-- think of it as a practice for life!

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

  • Decision on classes will be made 45 minutes before class: some classes may be moved to our indoor location

  • Check our Facebook page for updates

  • If the weather becomes unsafe mid-way through a class (heavy rain, thunderstorm) and the class must end early, students that paid for a drop-in or are using a class package will not be “charged” for that class. A class will be credited back onto account.

Wednesdays

Thursdays
5:30-6:30pm: Yoga Basics
7-8pm: Intermediate/ Advanced Flow

Fridays

4:30-5:30pm: Friday Fitness Flow(Begins 6/21/19) 

Saturdays
8-9am  Hatha/ Vinyasa Yoga

HOW DO I KNOW WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

  • You may read the class descriptions so you will know what to expect. Beginners and seasoned yogis alike--all are welcome!

  • Anything with the words “vinyasa” or “flow” will pair movement with breath. Poses are not held as long, and you “flow” from one pose to another.

  • Any class title that includes words like “restorative” or “yin” are much, much slower and focus on deep stretching and relaxing.

  • Yoga Basics is a great place to start if you are a beginner and want things to be broken down a bit more. This does not necessarily mean the class will be “easy”! The teacher will teach a little more of the “how” and “why” of each pose.

  • “Hatha” is really just a term for the physical practice of yoga. The poses can be difficult as well as relaxing, and are typically held for a minimum of 8 breaths or so.

  • “Hatha/Vinyasa” just means there will be a mixture of “flowing” postures and holding postures a bit longer. All levels are welcome!

  • Yoga is for EVERY BODY. If you still aren’t sure how to get started with a yoga practice, or if you have an injury or physical limitation, contact:
