Viniyoga is an ancient Sanskrit term that implies differentiation, adaptation and appropriate application. As a style of practice, Viniyoga refers to an approach to Yoga that adapts the various means and methods of practice to the unique condition, needs and interests of the individual - giving each practitioner the tools to individualize and actualize the process of self-discovery and personal transformation.
Erin uses the tools of asana (Yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), bandha (energy locks), sound/chanting, chakras, meditation, personal ritual and Ancient Text study (Yoga Sutras of Patanjali).
Erin is passionate about helping people overcome physical, physiological and and psycho-emotional obstacles. Erin works with students one-on-one or in a small group-focused setting to create a unique personal practice based on one’s goals and individual needs. Erin is also a Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). Erin draws on her Yoga Therapy background and incorporates it in with Health Coaching for personal development, goal accomplishments and spiritual growth. Erin believes health goes beyond the food we eat, it includes Primary Foods (Relationships, Physical Activity, Career and Spirituality). Taking care of all of these aspects in one’s life is an act of radical self-care and creates optimal health and vitality. Erin also studies Herbalism from an Ayurvedic, TCM and Western Herbal approach and Hormone Health through IIN Alumni Courses.
Erin helps her clients and students co-create completely personalized practices based on their goals to move them toward their ideal vision of health within their unique body, lifestyle, preferences and resources. Erin uses the tools of nutrition, healthy cooking, yoga, meditation, creativity and radical self-care.
