Mindful Stress Management: Practical Techniques

February 4th, 2019 / 6:30 - 8:00 PM

You will learn why it is important to manage stress, and practical breathing, yoga, and meditation techniques to manage stress in and out of the office. This workshop is curated for those who are interested in mindfully managing stress in and out of work, classroom or the home. Today more than ever in our fast-paced world, it's important for us to mindfully manage stress. We are constantly stimulated and thinking about our next task, this stress can cause anxiety.

During this workshop, you will gain the tools to live mindfully and ease anxiety. We will begin with a meditation, and then learn some breathing techniques to calm the nervous system. Then, we will discuss the best ways to manage stress and anxiety throughout your day.

The workshop will conclude with a 30 min restorative yoga class. Please wear something comfortable for yoga, yoga mats and props will be provided.

Format: Lecture/discussion, meditation, yoga postures (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama)


Mindfulness for Leaders: Tools for Effective Leadership

March 4th, 2019 / 6:30 - 8:00 PM

You will gain the tools to communicate more effectively, practice empathy, gain self-awareness, manage time more effectively, and use mindful techniques to relieve stress. This workshop is designed for people who want to grow in their mindfulness practice and become more effective leaders.  

Mindful leadership improves your communication, team morale and company loyalty. Many of the best leaders have emotional intelligence, empathy, and patience. All of these qualities can help your team accomplish work more effectively.  

We will begin with a meditation, then move into the workshop which will include writing and breathing exercises as well as learning time management tools. The workshop will conclude with a 30 min restorative yoga class. Please wear something comfortable for yoga, yoga mats and props will be provided.

Pause for Momentum: Improve Your Productivity and Creativity

April 1st, 2019 / 6:30 - 8:00 PM

You will walk away with a sense of peace and grounding by learning how to take a pause which can increase your momentum for productivity and creativity.  People who desire to integrate mindfulness into their everyday lives and become more productive and creative. Taking a pause in your day allows you to slow down and gain more perspective.

Using this tool you can become more creative leading to a more productive and efficient day. We will begin with meditation, then move into discussing how taking a pause improves your productivity.

Next, we will do a free writing and eating exercise which will demonstrate pausing for mindfulness. The workshop will conclude with a 30 min restorative yoga class. Please wear something comfortable for yoga, yoga mats and props will be provided.

Restore and Renew: A Mindful Start & End to Each Day

May 6th, 2019 / 6:30 - 8:00 PM

You will gain the tools to energize at the beginning of your day, then decompress at the end of the day. If you want to integrate mindfulness into your everyday life, wake up with a sense of wellness and end the day on a mindful note--then this workshop is for you.

When we begin our days with a positive mindset, we will bring this with us throughout the day making us more compassionate, patient, and better communicators. When we end the day with wellness and self-care, we have a more restful sleep, and are most likely to shine the next day as the best version of ourselves.

We will begin with a meditation, then move into the workshop which will include gentle movement and breathing exercises for the morning, then end with a writing exercise which you will use at the end of the day. The workshop will conclude with a 30 min restorative yoga class. Please wear something comfortable for yoga, yoga mats and props will be provided.

Molly Black - Yoga in Chicago

Molly Black, RYT 200

Molly, founder of Wellness With Molly is a yoga and meditation teacher passionate about empowering people through mindfulness. She is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and has been practicing yoga and meditation for ten years. Along with her mindfulness practice, Molly has experience working as a LEED consultant and environmental auditor as well as various startups including running a co-working space.

Molly's passion for social impact led her to a career in wellness, she's always interested in working with people to develop their mindfulness practice and is excited to keep learning!
